The Client

The Strategy team is focused on long term business growth and strategic direction. With extensive exposure to senior leaders, the strategy function is well regarded and delivers huge impact on commercial results.
The Role
This position is suited to a passionate strategist who is diligent, analytical and engaging with stakeholders. The successful person needs to be a strong team player and have exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as a real passion for growing this business. Due to the global nature of the team, initiative and self-direction is a must, and in return huge amounts of autonomy will be granted.
In this role, you will be tasked with identifying potential strategic opportunities, analysing the business' growth and project pipeline, and ensuring all strategic goals and aims are met. As a highly respected member of the broader organisation, you will work with stakeholders across business units to retain the excellent market reputation of the organisation.
Your Profile
Aside from the right attitude and willingness to deliver strategic success, you will have:
- 4+ years' experience in a consulting or industry strategy role, with a preference for exposure to construction/building or similar "heavy" industries (oil/gas, mining, resources, construction)
- The ability to communicate with very senior stakeholders and high level of gravitas
- A detail oriented nature and analytical approach, with exceptional powerpoint/excel skills
- Exceptional economic knowledge, and ability to understand broad market trends and view acquisition opportunities through a commercial lens
- General "self starter" attitude and proclivity for getting stuck into tasks, ability to self motivate in periods of slowness but also meet volume requirements when deadlines loom.
