The Opportunity
The Research Development Team, within the Monash Research Office, is responsible for providing quality and timely advice and support for researchers in strategic grant development to major national and international funding opportunities.
An opportunity exists for a dynamic team player to contribute significantly to Monash’s research aspirations and work with some of our highest profile researchers, pursuing exciting and world-leading research. The Research Development Officer – MRFF reports to the Principal Research Development Strategist and operates under broad direction to increase Monash engagement with the Medical Research Future Fund.
The Senior Research Development Officer – MRFF provides project management, tactical advice and strategic review of research proposals to the Medical Research Future Fund and co-ordinates cross-disciplinary national consortia in collaboration with Faculty and central portfolios. The role requires excellent networking and relationship building skills paired with exceptional judgement, personal integrity and communication skills as well as a deep knowledge of the medical research landscape in Australia. Experience in translational medical research, particularly in a clinical setting and/or with an understanding of commercialisation would be an advantage.
