Full Time Positions  - Office Locations – Melbourne and Beaconsfield, Victoria

Remuneration – Salary Package 70 -110K plus super

Archaeology at Tardis (AAT) is an independent consultancy based in Melbourne, Victoria that specialises in providing high quality cultural heritage services throughout south east Australia on behalf of our large range of clients. AAT was established in 1988 and is considered a leader in the heritage industry.

Owing to our continued growth AAT is seeking applications for a suitably qualified, experienced Archaeologist/Heritage Advisor to join our dynamic, vibrant and established archaeology team. ATT provides numerous training opportunities and flexible work practices. The successful applicant will play a key role in the business and have opportunity to progress and develop skills and expertise in the heritage consulting sector.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A competent attitude with a passion for the consulting industry and be work fit for field work;
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably an Honours degree in Archaeology that has an emphasis on Australian Archaeology;
  • Minimum of two years in the consulting industry, preferably in both indigenous and historical fields;
  • High level of communication skills;
  • Experience liaising with government departments, organisations and industry;
  • Able to manage all phases of projects, including post excavation analysis;
  • Be able to take ownership of projects and be a flexible problem solver;
  • Highly efficient and competent report writing skills;
  • Be eligible for Full Membership of AACAI & a Heritage Advisor with Aboriginal Victoria
  • Have experience in preparing Cultural Heritage Management Plans or similar;
  • Knowledge of relevant Victorian heritage legislation – Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and Heritage Act 2018 and local government policies;
  • Possess current driver’s license (manual) and White Card and;
  • Other specialist skills will be an advantage.
