Kennards Hire is seeking a Change Manager with Organisational Development experience to join our Safety & Operational Improvement team. The role has been created to support our goal of embedding a culture of safety first, and to accelerate our safety journey.

The role will be part of the Safety Differently project and will work closely with our Operations, People & Culture and Marketing & Communications teams to design and implement initiatives that support our safety priority and embed a culture of safety first.

Key Responsibilities

  • Through developing a deep understanding of the Kennards Hire culture and work processes you will support the design and implementation of safety initiatives that span, leadership, internal and external communications, people programs, process and training.
  • You will contribute to the understanding of root causes to safety incidents within the Kennards Hire environment, from the perspective of helping to guide solutions to managing in complex and ever different work structures where no day is the same, and where sound judgement and risk assessment is critical.
  • You will assess the impact of any change to ensure alignment and sustainability.
  • You will develop a change management plan for the implementation of initiatives, with appropriate measures that test process and cultural change over time.
  • Coach and develop operational managers (most often remotely) on the leadership of behavioural change, through a position of environmental understanding.

Experience

  • Experience in safety change initiatives will be considered favourably, but it is not essential
  • Experience in culture change is required
  • Change management discipline experience required and qualifications desirable
