Client:

My client is a Marketing firm specialising in products and services, primarily focusing on the HR sector.

Reporting to the Insights Manager, they are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to take ownership of data projects. Someone who is genuinely interested in all things data, statistics and reporting, along with being passionate about putting their findings in fancy presentations, and who is looking for a company they can growth with would be successful in this position. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience working in a similar role turning raw data into reports and explaining their findings (in presentation format) along with advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of data projects and contribute to discussions around findings
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of the report project schedule
• Work to shape the organisation's approach to surveys & reporting / models
• The analysis of data and production of reporting
• The creation and use of advanced Excel / data models
• Categorising free-text survey comments into key themes
• QA checking and proof reading reporting work
• Sending out the Post Report Project Survey to clients

 
Key Skills:

• 2+ years commercial experience in market research and/or workforce surveys and/or data analysis roles.
• Advanced Excel (filter data, pivot tables, formulas, macros) and PowerPoint skills to build models.
• Experience in BI platforms such as Tableau, SPSS (desirable)
• A keen understanding of data visualisation and data quality management best practice.
• High attention to detail – a necessity for the accurate cleaning and weighting of data files and reporting.
• Experience working to deadlines and managing multiple projects.
• The ability to create solid processes and develop a thorough testing process to ensure extremely high levels of accuracy in reporting.
• Enjoys critical thinking and the opportunity to be innovative in the role.
• Proven ability to communicate complex information, in a simple yet compelling way.
• A can-do attitude and a curious mind.
