The Role

We are excited to be hiring junior consultants (we refer to them as Analysts) to join our Melbourne office and support the growth of our work in the Energy and Water Industries. The role will support our Consultants, Senior Consultants and Principals in the delivery of engagements through high quality research and analysis and hands on consulting skills.

Successful applicants can expect the following from the role:

• A high degree of interaction with clients, project teams and our leading industry experts and partners
• To work closely with team members (both internal and external) to create, innovate and deliver tailored outcomes
• To undertake detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis for clients and internal Marchment Hill projects
• To develop high quality deliverables for our clients such as presentations and insightful reports
• To prepare and meaningfully contribute to workshops and client meetings

The successful candidate may be required to work around Australia, and possibly internationally.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, candidates should address the following criteria:

• Experience in management consulting
• Demonstrated experience in the energy and/or water industry (1 – 3 years' experience) is highly preferable
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills – this requires strong quantitative as well as qualitative analytical capability, particularly advanced Excel skills
• Advanced modelling skills are highly desired
• Advanced Word and Powerpoint skills, and working knowledge of Visio
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional results both within a team and individually

In addition, the candidate will possess:

• The ability to build positive and collaborative team member and client relationships
• Drive and initiative to be able to work productively within an environment which encourages autonomy
• Clear and concise communication and documentation skills
• Strong business acumen
• A professional demeanour and self-confidence

Qualifications

Applicants must be at minimum degree qualified (with some preference for Engineering, IT and/or Business disciplines).
