  • Join an innovative and well recognised national not for profit
  • Make a difference to young people
  • Competitive salary and generous salary packaging opportunities

Established in 2006, headspace is a well-recognised, national not-for-profit organisation making a difference to the lives of young people aged 12-25 years. headspace enables young people and their families to access information and support through a national network of centres and services, and drives community awareness and education about youth mental health, early intervention and help seeking.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Quality and Risk Manager to join the People and Culture team at headspace National. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Framework, incorporating both corporate and clinical quality, risk and policy at headspace. The role will support the achievement of headspace strategic objectives by leading and developing the annual Quality Plan, which will introduce a framework that complements and integrates current Quality Management and Clinical Governance systems.

The Quality and Risk Manager will monitor the Quality Management System and will be responsible for processes to ensure that headspace achieves and maintains ISO 9001:2015 accreditation and other relevant standards.

Reporting to the Executive Director – People and Culture, this role will work closely with senior leaders across headspace Services, and the Executive to deliver a continuous improvement approach and a commitment to quality across the organisation.  In particular the incumbent will work closely with the Executive Director Finance and Business Operations for corporate governance and the Executive Director Clinical Practice for clinical governance. The Quality and Risk Manager will also hold line management responsibility for the Human Resources Advisor – Workplace Health and Safety.

headspace is seeking a forward thinking professional who will convey headspace values, communicate ideas, initiate and maintain systems that continuously assess the environment and management with a view to continuously improve care of young people and their families as well as work flow. The role will also significantly contribute to the overall Risk and Management Framework and the WHS Framework across the organisation.

To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate a proven track record in leading, implementing and managing quality, safety and risk management programs at the senior management level. You will be experienced in championing a culture of continuous quality improvement in a clinical environment. You will demonstrate strong experience in managing accreditation / review processes for accreditation processes such as ISO9001 and Workplace Health and Safety. Naturally, your personal style and exceptional communication skills will enable you to build key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, and motivate others to effectively foster a quality focused culture and deliver quality objectives. You will be a true leader, training and educating employees across all levels of the organisation to ensure the successful implementation of the headspace Quality Plan.

In return we offer a flexible and dynamic environment where you have the opportunity to truly make a difference to young Australians. Competitive remuneration is offered and includes generous salary packaging opportunities.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
