Being customer owned and locally based, Credit Union SA is dedicated to delivering valued and competitive financial services to South Australians and is poised for further growth.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Digital and Member Insight, this newly created role will form part of the leadership group and play a pivotal role in the design and execution of the Credit Union’s change program. This role will also be directly responsible for managing change activity and a team of transformation-focussed resources, with an opportunity to make a significant impact on the business.

The key responsibilities of the Business Transformation Manager will include but not be limited to the following:

• Define, prioritise, plan and implement the Credit Union’s strategic change program.
• Manager and mature the project and change management functions, including as chair of the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Provide thought leadership on project management, change management and transformation activity, assisting to build a culture of continuous innovation and accountability.
• Enhance and enforce appropriate change governance and project lifecycle processes.
• Build internal change capability and organisational resilience.
• Manage multiple projects of a highly strategic and transformative nature, ranging from technology-led initiatives through to assisting to rebuild the distributive footprint.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to define, prioritise, plan and execute transformation initiatives, ensuring change activity is embraced and successfully adopted throughout the business.
• Provide direct leadership to a team of project managers and business analysts.
• Plan and drive efficiency and effectiveness strategies, playing a lead role in framing problems, guiding analytical modelling, defining solutions and reengineering historical business practices.

The successful candidate will be required to operate with a high degree of independence within the approved project framework and with guidance from the Executive Manager Digital and Member Insight, while also being expected to plan and manage the work program for the project and business transformation team. Managing multiple projects and workstreams of high complexity as well as significantly influencing the work program of key stakeholder groups are essential for this role.

We’re looking for an individual with exceptional project management skills and a proven history of successfully implementing highly complex and strategic change activities which impact systems, people and processes.

The successful candidate will also need to possess the following:

• Demonstrated experience managing a project management office in a medium to large organisation.
• Advanced process transformation skills, preferably coupled with a solid understanding of lean and/or human-centred design principles and a passion for creating simple and elegant solutions.
• High level time management skills and an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
• Experience working in a complex multi-vendor environment.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, outstanding facilitation skills and an ability to influence and lead change at all levels of an organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of retail financial services products and services would be desirable for this role. A tertiary qualification in project and/or program management qualifications would also be highly desirable.
