About the role

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will provide key insights and analysis into the current and forecasted business pipeline, including financial data modelling. You will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the executive team.

Your responsibilities:

• Harness Business intelligence tools and data analytics techniques to provide more meaningful, forward-looking financial forecasts, predict and manage risk, and identify new market opportunities
• Manage, challenge and validate existing financial models of operations, ensuring decision making is informed by thorough analysis
• Assist in building models, tools, processes and infrastructure that supports the organisations accuracy, efficiency and scaleability
• Provide effective operational data analysis and financial reports

What you need to be successful:

• Strong financial grounding ideally from a top 4, Senior Financial Management Consultancy background
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years progressive responsibility and experience in business and financial management
• Significant commercial experience in portfolio optimisation, analysis and reporting, as well as advanced Excel skills
• Sound communication skills including the ability to respond effectively to customer and supplier queries involving a wide range of financial matters while maintaining good business relationships
• Sound knowledge and relevant experience in relation to the application of best practice financial management processes and procedures in a dynamic commercial environment
• Responsibility for financial projects as requested by the Head of Finance including the provision of timely and accurate financial reports. 
• Personal attributes of honesty and integrity in all dealings with staff, peers and customers
• Strong influencing skills, experience of working with senior executives as well as the ability and willingness to understand the detail
• Can appreciate difficult problems and is a self-starter to work autonomously on tasks with a medium complexity, works collaboratively as part of a team and clearly represent consolidated findings.
