About the Strategic Reform Branch
The NSW Health Strategic Reform Branch (SRB) has been established to lead and support health system reform. The Branch reports to the Deputy Secretary, Strategy and Resources in the Ministry of Health.

Key functions of the Branch are to lead the development of:

  • the strategic vision for health into the future; 
  • shared system priorities;
  • collaborative strategic relations within the health cluster and across government agencies; and
  • purposeful measurement, analysis and economic appraisal of strategic priorities.

The Strategic Reform Branch works in a fast-paced collaborative environment, with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The Branch is supporting an exciting phase of innovation and change and the position will play a role in helping to shape the future direction of the NSW health system.


What you'll be doing
The Strategic Change Project Officer performs project management and support activities that enable communications and change management strategies to support key strategic reform priorities. 
This role contributes to the development of strategic policy recommendations and advice to assist in the design and implementation of processes to support the successful adoption of system priorities and reforms.

The key outcomes this position will deliver:

  • Working with a range of stakeholders to provide clear, high-quality, integrated communications across multiple channels, audiences and activities.
  • Managing competing priorities given the need to address unforeseen issues and the high volume of work.
  • Delivering content, analysis and advice on time to quality standards and within agreed scope.

You will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience working in a communications and stakeholder engagement team on large-scale transformation projects or in a large, diverse organisation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, supporting and developing integrated business and communications strategies and plans across multiple channels, high quality written material and online content, reports, briefs and correspondence.

3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver communications that engage and inform different audiences and enable positive change.
4. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated skills and experience in project planning, management, implementation and review.
