Queensland Rail's Learning and Development business is seeking a highly experienced people professional to join their Learning Operations and Reform Team.

 

Your primary objective will be to provide expert advice on best-practice learning operations and reform initiatives, and to lead learning reform projects that enhance training operations and uplift organisational capability.

 

This position is tailored for a dynamic individual whose innovative and analytical thinking will enable them to critically evaluate current procedures, and to develop, document and assist in the implementation of new procedures and processes in line with the business requirements.

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate resilience in a dynamic and at times challenging environment. We are looking for an individual with a consultative approach who has previous experience leading reform or change projects within a training or learning environment. A strong ability to build relationships, gain stakeholder trust and to work collaboratively to overcome resistance, will ensure your success in this role.

 

Position Responsibilities (not limited to);

 

  • Manage learning reform projects to achieve optimal performance and to ensure Queensland Rail maintains accreditation as a Rail Operator.
  • Provide high level advice and support to the Program Mgr Training Ops and Reform, through managing and reporting on the status of assigned learning operations and reform projects within agreed timeframes and standards.
  • Actively contribute to building team capability, supporting teamwork and collaboration with a focus on improved learning and development outcomes within the team and for project stakeholders.
  • Contribute operational training expertise and analytical people insights in support of major learning reform initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice in the improved management of training operations including planning, scheduling, coordinating and review of training performance and the implementation of training management strategies.
  • Maintain contemporary knowledge and/or source information on emerging issues within and outside the organisation relating to learning best practice, training reform initiatives, rail operations and accreditation.
  • Undertake change management related activities to educate and embed learning reform improvements, including coaching of senior leaders, operational leaders and training delivery team members.

 

To be considered for this role you must have;

 

  • High level of skill in leading, planning, implementing and integrating operational strategies and initiatives to achieve best practice.
  • High level of skill in managing projects that promote continuous improvement, and drive learning and capability improvements.
  • High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation and relationship building skills to build and sustain productive partnerships with varying stakeholders.
  • High level of skill in leading diverse cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities with varied actions in a large and complex organisation.
  • High level of skill in the application of contemporary and best practice learning methods across rail or similar industries.
  • High level of skill in developing and adapting strategies to implement initiatives that meet the operational and best-practice requirements of the business.

Starting salary $116,000 plus Superannuation.
