The Strategic Asset Manager is responsible for the successful analysis of all Lifestyle and Care property assets in the IRT portfolio, delivering detailed strategic asset management plans (SAMs) with actionable improvements. The role includes execution accountability at an asset level for project managing approvals, funding, delivery and reporting of asset upgrades. The role also has the opportunity to lead innovation beyond existing IRT built form and service solutions; positioning the business to meet current and future customer needs.

This role will be based at head office Wollongong, and reports to the Head of Strategy and Innovation, IRT Communities.

The successful incumbent will:

  • Lead, develop and deliver the asset management strategy for the portfolio of IRT Lifestyle and Care assets
  • Provide the vision at an asset level, collating qualitative and quantitative resources to form strategic insights, better aligning assets with future customer demand
  • Project manage delivery of SAM recommendations, including forming project teams with internal stakeholders and partners, tracking deliverables, resources and milestones towards successful execution

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in property, project management or commensurate asset management experience
  • Demonstrated execution experience leading in a project management role
  • Demonstrated experience meeting customer expectations while managing risk, budget and schedules
  • Good knowledge of aged care or retirement living
