Due to the growth of our business and an expanded portfolio of projects, exciting opportunities exists for two highly motivated Senior Consultants – Community Engagement to join our Brisbane team.

 

As part of the Community Engagement Team, these two roles covers a broad range of skills relating to community engagement activities across a broad range of areas. The primary focus is to undertake day to day stakeholder management / facilitation / community relationship specialist duties for current ongoing project commitment and future projects.  Assignments will be delivered ether as part of a team or individually, with support from more senior team members.  The successful candidates will:

 

  • Be involved with business development-related activities, and developing relationships, with new and existing clients.
  • Undertake other assigned technical activities as needed.
  • Work collaboratively within a mutually supportive team environment with a focus on team success.
  • You will be required to work generally without supervision, and with guidance/support, referring up as necessary.  In achieving this you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area.
  • You will represent Arup at internal and external events and you may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business.  This will require you to allocate tasks, coordinate activities and predict and plan resources.
  • You may be responsible for the performance and development of staff, sub-consultants and contractors and as such you will be required to provide guidance, training, direction and feedback.

     

     

    You will have demonstrated:

     

  • Knowledge and experience in stakeholder management, community relations management, public relations, with the ability to independently undertake specialist services in these and related areas.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder management areas of projects as part of a team, including assisting with the supervision of multi-disciplinary project teams where appropriate.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading change projects
  • Skills & experience in project management related role(s), and contract administration, would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience in a healthcare or related setting would be advantageous
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to project delivery and business development, with evidence of good client liaison skills.
  • Team player and ability to work across multi-disciplinary groups within Arup.
  • Working towards eligibility for professional membership / chartership of an appropriate association in the area of specialty.

 

You will possess demonstrated excellent attention to detail along with high-level verbal and written communication skills.  Additionally, you will have proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

 

Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership will be highly regarded.
