The Role

PRA is seeking a Business Improvement Manager to join our Canning Vale team.

The Business Improvement Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and the management/coordination of all initiatives identified through the New Ideas program to ensure PRA continues to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable water services to our customers, as defined in the Strategic Management Plan.

The Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish, implement and maintain continuous improvement systems and practices
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators [KPI’s]
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and leads in the development and implementation of strategies/initiatives to achieve increased performance.
  • Leads and/or supports in the implementation of assigned change initiatives.
  • Build employee capability through mentoring, coaching, performance feedback and provision of training and development opportunities
  • Promote and develop a safety culture across the business in line with PRA’s Zero harm initiatives.
  • Cultivate an innovation culture

The successful candidate would have:

  • Extensive experience in business improvement in a complex, public or private organisation (preferably with water industry experience)
  • Management experience in a politically sensitive or highly-regulated industry
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Substantial experience in managing and leading a team
  • Demonstrated capacity to introduce and manage organisational change
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce, Engineering or related area (highly regarded)
  • Six Sigma certification (essential)
