About Translating Research at Melbourne (TRaM)
Established in 2016, the Translating Research at Melbourne (TRaM) program is a professional development program that supports researchers to maximise the commercial impact of their research in order to develop a research entrepreneurial culture and enhance the University’s reputation for impact. As a strategic activation initiative of the University’s Enterprise Agenda, the TRaM program is a key element of the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem and one of the key programs managed by the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre within the Faculty of Business and Economics.
The Opportunity
The University of Melbourne is seeking a Program Manager to help TRaM develop the entrepreneurial capability of researchers. The Program Manager will create and deliver consistent, high-quality training and development for all participants across the suite of TRaM programs. Reporting to the Director, you will work as part of a high performing team, empowering the team to work independently and achieve success, assist the Faculty and Advancement to secure funding and partnerships to meet TRaM’s strategic objectives and ensure that the program is equipped with the critical capabilities (people and infrastructure) to achieve its strategic goals and make its values real.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will have extensive relevant experience and an appropriate postgraduate qualification or progress towards postgraduate qualifications. You will be outcome focused and possess high level interpersonal and verbal communication skills; along with project management skills. You will also have proven skills in staff management and leadership in a collaborative environment. Experience in or an understanding of the higher education sector and entrepreneurial frameworks and methodologies for the training and development of research entrepreneurs would be desirable.
