Established in 1938, Fresh Hope Care, an Agency of Fresh Hope (Churches of Christ in NSW), is a not-for-profit Christian organisation providing Aged Care throughout metropolitan and regional NSW. Services include a range of Home Care services designed to give elderly people the support they need to stay in their own home safely and securely for as long as possible, Retirement Living Villages and Residential Care Services. Your new role as Strategic Programs Officer will be pivotal in ensuring strategic and operational planning deliver on Fresh Hope Care’s mission and strategic objectives. Reporting to the General Manager, Marketing and Sales, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to strategic project planning and management of strategic plan execution, evaluating and reporting on progress at an operational level.

As an experienced business and strategy planning professional, you will work with the Fresh Hope Care leadership team to ensure the effective implementation of the organisation’s strategic plan and support the delivery of optimal experiences for our customers.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing input into developing long term strategies to assist the organisation in meeting its strategic goals and initiatives;
  • Developing project plans and coordinating the implementation of the organisation’s goals and strategic planning initiatives;
  • Analysing and reporting on performance of KPIs, goals and objectives via Balanced Scorecard Reporting;
  • Proactively coordinating the ongoing development and implementation of strategic planning;
  • Conducting research and data analysis to inform business decisions, creative executions and messaging;
  • Developing balanced scorecard reporting for monthly Board reporting;
  • Providing education, training, and support for all staff and to gain their cooperation in the implementation of strategic initiatives;
  • Being a change agent and convey the strategic objectives of the organisation to maximise stakeholder buy-in.

To be successful in your new role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business management or an analytical-related discipline, or equivalent;
  • Substantial experience in business planning, corporate planning, risk management or organisational performance;
  • Facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to chair and lead group processes including meetings, group discussions and project teams;
  • In depth knowledge of contemporary corporate strategy, performance measurement, management and/or organisational development theory and processes;
  • Project Management skills and ability to manage projects from conception to completion within set timeframes and performance indicators;
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Developed research, writing and evaluation skills, including the ability to assimilate a coherent overview from varying sources of information;
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex information/issues and present information effectively and comprehensively both verbally and in written reports;
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software;
  • Willingness and ability to work within a Christian context and Fresh Hope Care’s philosophy, vision and values.

A current driver’s license (with willingness to travel) and Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care and are essential.

Remuneration is based on experience. There is a tax-free component of your remuneration available under the Public Benevolent Institution.
