Do you have an interest in influencing how ethical research is conducted at NSW Health facilities? Do you like to analyse and report on complex data sets to assist organisational performance? The NSW Office for Health and Medical Research is the key agency delivering a wide range of programs and activities to support the research sector. We are seeking a highly motivated Policy and Data Analyst to join our Research Ethics and Governance Unit to work in this dynamic portfolio.
 

Where you'll be working
The NSW Office for Health and Medical Research works to ensure that NSW will have a global reputation as a centre for excellence for health and medical research that supports a high quality health system and generates social and economic benefits to the people of NSW. The Office is situated in the Ministry of Health and reports through the Chief Health Officer. The Unit is a small team which offers its members multiple interest areas in which to get involved.

 
What you'll be doing
This Policy and Data Analyst role assists in the provision of high level coordination and facilitation of research ethics and governance programs, projects and activities to enhance the conduct of research in NSW. The role also provides advice in relation to health and medical research timeline and performance metrics for NSW Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies to support the achievement of NSW Office for Health and Medical Research’s objectives.
 
There is rarely a typical day in this role, as the Policy and Data Analyst conducts data analysis and evaluates research ethics and governance timelines and provides advice to support stakeholders, senior executives and industry.
