Detail information about job Continuous Improvement Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

Daimler Truck and Bus currently has an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated and pro-active Continuous Improvement Manager to join the Business Intelligence and Strategy team.  Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of process analysis, change and implementation in order to drive operational excellence.  This on-going role is an inaugural position, offering an opportunity with depth and scope for the successful candidate, with reach across Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus, Freightliner and Fuso, as well as our Vehicle Processing Centres around the country and other internal business units that are cross-departmental shared services.

Reporting into the Senior Manager for Business Intelligence, Strategy and Innovation, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Partnering with the business to identify and drive continuous process improvements for Daimler Truck and Bus (DTBAuP)
  • Managing, analysing and evaluating current systems and processes and implementing recommended solutions
  • Lead successful delivery and deployment of projects that will have immediate impact on efficiency and create the best possible customer experience
  • Managing business process improvement coaching through leading the transfer of knowledge to key DTBAuP employees
  • Streamlining processes to achieve great efficiency, solve organisational problems and drive an innovative culture

The successful candidate will possess a true passion and desire for the role and ideally, have held a similar CI (Continuous Improvement) role previously and have demonstrated a proven track record in having led a business to identifying and analysing business processes, and driven strategic plans aimed at creating optimised solutions for their problems.  Your attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and an undisputable ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships will ensure a collaborative approach to success in this role.

You will have the ability to work through multiple complex projects with the backing of your previously gained qualification or vast commercial practice in CI / Process methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Black / Green Belt or similar).  With strong analytical and investigative skills, you will have the ability to implement and govern changes that address current pain points and future proof our business.

A Bachelor degree in Business or Commerce is preferred, along with strong business acumen and a solid understanding of the Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Automotive market.

If you are ready to challenge the status quo and drive innovation, apply by close of business Wednesday 1st August 2018.
