About the business and the role
Shoreline Consulting is a specialist industry consultancy providing strategic advice and business transformation services to C-level executives in the investment and wealth management industries. Our experienced team of consultants have gained an impeccable reputation for their functional expertise, industry experience, and practical value-add advice.
Our teams in Sydney, Melbourne, and Singapore service blue chip clients across APAC. To support our rapid growth, we have an immediate need for an Enterprise Architecture consultant experienced in either investment or wealth management to join our team in Sydney.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the managing director, you will work with a team of senior technology and business consultants on a range of client assignments including IT and operational strategy, enterprise architecture, business aligned IT roadmaps, and target operating models.
Your knowledge of the investment or wealth management industry and associated operational processes and IT platforms will allow you to provide commercially viable and practical solutions to executive level client stakeholders.
In your role you will:
- Understand the clients' business and operating landscape in the context of technology and asset and wealth market trends
- Undertake a rigorous and structured approach to frame and solve our client's business problems through the application of technology
- Define capability-based target operating models, IT strategies and enterprise architectures to enable our clients to achieve their business objectives and growth plans
- Define implementation roadmaps spanning simple IT projects to large-scale, enterprise-level change programs
- Champion best-practice EA processes to uplift client capabilities and streamline technology functions
- Lead and facilitate the continual improvement of governing principles for decision making and oversight across the enterprise
- Analyse industry, market, and technology trends to determine their potential impacts on our client's business and technology environment
- Develop client relationships and grow your network
Skills and experience
We are looking for people with the following attributes and experience:
- 4+ years enterprise / solution architecture experience
- 2+ years investment and / or wealth management experience preferred
- Experience working for a consulting firm preferred
- Ability to develop relationship with and influence senior business and IT stakeholders
- Proven structured approach and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A track record of delivering results working both autonomously or with a team
- Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in IT, Engineering, Math, or Science
