This is the perfect position for someone looking to step up into a senior management position. You would have knowledge of the PHN across Sydney and would have had direct reports in a previous position. Great opportunity to be mentored by the GM and prospect to grown your career.
The role:
As the Planning and Strategy Manager you will be responsible for leaving a team of data planners and health planners, to provide strategic planning and evaluation advice to all teams across the business.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships and strategic partnerships with senior managers, planning and operational staff and other stakeholders including the Local Health Districts (LHDs), Specialty Health Networks (SHNs) and non-government organisation (HGOs)
- Oversee the development of strategic and activity plans in collaboration with LHDs, St Vincent’s Hospital Network and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring consistency across all documents
- Assist in the identification of funding opportunities and preparation of funding tenders and submissions
- Support the development of Grants and Innovation proposals through provision of evidence based information
- Influence and mange change across the organisation through implementation of evidence based best practice
- Map the capacity of internal staff data and evaluation skills and develop responsive training to address gaps and build organisation capacity
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in a health related management field and minimum 3 years experience in a management role
- Proven ability to think conceptually, analyse complex issues, develop innovative solutions within organisational constraints, and prepare high level reports and budgets
- Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders including the LHDs, NGOs, community organisations, universities, clinicians, and the public in leading effective service system reform
- Extensive stakeholder engagement experience across a senior level
