Saferight are seeking expressions of interest for Contract/Casual/Temp Emergency Services Officers/Trainers & Assessors/ Paramedics.
The positions below will require travel on a state-wide basis, which on occasion is required outside of normal working hours including weekends. There may be a need for work on a FIFO rotational roster and will possibly include 12-hour day and night shifts.
The following are essential to the positions below:
- Be active and physically fit (will be required to pass a full physical)
- Current C Class Driver's License (WA)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously
- Work with the training administration and management team
- Be pleasant, friendly and well presented at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound computer skills and knowledge and application of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Efficient time management and organisational skills
- Able to obtain National Police Clearance
TRAINERS & ASSESSORS
Essential:
- Current TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with a minimum of 1-year facilitation experience
- Minimum 2 years' current experience in the Mining, Construction and/or Fire Industry
- RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights
- RIIWHS202D Enter and Work in Confined Spaces / MSMPER205 Enter Confined Space
Desirable:
- Working with Children's Check or ability to obtain
- MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres
- MSMWHS216 Operate Breathing Apparatus
- WorkSafe High Risk Assessor for EWP and Forklift etc.
EMERGENCY SERVICES OFFICERS
Essential:
- Three years’ experience within the mining industry, emergency services or other emergency/health services
- RII30713 Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- HLT41012 Certificate IV Health Care (ambulance) or Diploma of Paramedical Science or Bachelor of Paramedical Science
- Current Western Australian MR or HR licence
- Drug and Alcohol Collector Certificate i.e. HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
Desirable:
- PUAFIR203B Respond to urban fire
- PUAFIR204B Respond to wildfire
- PUAFIR316 Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident
- PUAFIR207B Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
- PUASAR024A Undertake road crash rescue
- PUASAR032A Undertake vertical rescue
- RIIWHS204D Work safely at heights
- PUASAR025A Undertake confined space rescue
- PUAVEH001B Drive vehicles under operational conditions
- Maritime Security Identification Card
PARAMEDICS
Essential:
- Experience within a ‘000’ ambulance service
- BSc paramedical science or similar paramedic degree
- Registration with Paramedics Australia
- Recognised trauma course
- Current advanced life support / advanced care life support qualifications – i.e. HLTAID007 Provide advanced resuscitation
- Drug and Alcohol Collector Certificate i.e. HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
