Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is currently looking for an experienced Mine Controller / Dispatch Officer to join our client’s leading, state of the art team in the Brisbane CBD.

About the Role
As a controller you will be responsible for working with site operation teams and ensuring the effective execution of the daily plan. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor operational performance, apply agreed work processes and identify variation 
• Assess compliance with control operational benchmarks and reduce variance
• Collaborate across teams to design and implement improvement initiatives 
• Participate in the investigation of reported safety and productivity events
• Provide input to improvements needed for control systems and processes
• Brisbane CBD based role working in a world class, 365 days per annum, control centre on an even time roster, consisting of rotating day and night 12.5 hour shifts

About You

• Experience with Modular Dispatch (minimum level 2 preferred) in a large scale mining control room environment is essential 
• Ability to make decisions under pressure using your skills in prioritisation and problem solving
• Ability to work in a dynamic and ever changing environment
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work autonomously whilst also working collaboratively with your team to achieve desired outcomes
• Highly motivated with the ability to utilise your negotiation skills in order to influence others and achieve desired outcomes
• Highly developed communication skills with ability to resolve conflicts
• Willingness and ability to travel to site for training requirements and ongoing exposure to site operations
• Exhibit strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems

This is a long term contract role.
