Position Summary

We are seeking a  team orientated safety focused individual with extensive Structural Mechanical and Piping experience. Supporting the Project Manager, this position is responsible for the day to day running of the project site; ensuring works are  completed safely, on time, to specification and schedule and within budget. You will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the onsite team, which includes all functions & disciplines of onsite activities.

The suitable candidate will have

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Structural Mechanical and Piping roles
  • Minimum 5 years management experience on a  construction project site

The project is conveniently located approximately 40 minutes from Perth CBD


Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Assuming overall leadership and responsibilities for the day to day activities of the site over the project life cycle.
  • Liaising  with Project Managers on all project issues.
  • Liaising with Client representatives on all matters relating to the management of site employees.
  • Providing up-to-date resource forecasts outlining labour requirements.
  • Being actively involved with the initial project risk assessment, and regular review of the assessment when the scope of work is modified.
  • Assuming leadership for overall site safety and environment in conjunction with senior safety and environmental advisors.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, specifications, permits and licences
  • Perform other duties within the organisation that may be necessary to suit operational requirements

Key Performance Indicators / Performance Metrics

  • Site maintained and construction activities conducted in a safe manner
  • Works constructed in accordance with contract documents and achievement of agreed milestones
  • Up to date and accurate QA inspections and completed checklists
  • Helpful assistance with and identification of TQ’s, variations & delays

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years management experience on a similar construction project site
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Structural Mechanical and Piping roles
  • Indentured trade :  Structural Mechanical and Piping related discipline
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft applications.
  • C Class License.
