We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist for a 12 month contract based near Moranbah.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Coaching and mentoring Supervisors in HSE incident investigations
• ICAM facilitation
• must have great interpersonal skills 
• Sound knowledge of the coal mine OHS Act and Regs.
• previous experience in a senior HSE roll 
• This position will work closely with supervisors to coach and mentor then in their OHS obligations and to add a level of OHS advice and support to the Pre-strip leadership team

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in functioning as an OHS adviser at a senior level. Ideally they will have had exposure to production mining operations in a coal mining environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma in OHS or higher tertiary qualifications.
• relevant coal mining supervisory qualifications
• Relevant inductions and medicals
