About the role:

We are currently seeking an Equipment Health Analyst to join our Equipment Heath team. This role reports to our Equipment Health Manager. The successful applicant will be part of a small team that works across our surface and underground mining operations to analyse equipment sensor and condition data to identify when maintenance actions are required.

In addition to monitoring the condition of our equipment your will also create a key connection between the predictive analytics, fault diagnosis and repair work completed on site. This role offers the right applicant the opportunity to join an established and successful team working in the new and exciting field of machine health data analytics.

Duties will include:

  • Validating equipment health system alarms, contributing fault finding knowledge to turn these alarms into actionable work requests.
  • Follow the work requests through to completion and work with our onsite teams to achieve successful outcomes as required.
  • Collect feedback, maintain and develop our equipment health knowledge base.
  • Apply your equipment knowledge and data analysis skills to advise our mine sites on equipment reliability component changeout programs.
  • Assist with the development and validation of detection algorithms
  • Engage with your equipment health team members and our site staff to share information and collectively grow our knowledge and capability.

About you:

This role will suit you if you have a minimum of 3 years maintenance experience on large open cut and underground mining equipment and have a desire to develop your skills and ability in data analytics.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A trade or engineering background with an interest in data analytics.
  • A Proven ability to work collaboratively with site trades and supervisory maintenance personnel to transfer knowledge and create superior fault diagnosis outcomes
  • The ability to analyse and draw relevant conclusions from equipment sensor and other data
  • Good verbal and written communication skills which enables them to communicate, trouble shooting and defect rectification instructions and collect feedback on competed work
  • Able to self-manage with strong results driven orientation
  • Knowledge of data analytics with a strong desire for ongoing learning and development to advance a career in predictive data analytics on mining equipment.
