Perilya is currently seeking Production Charge-Up Operators. For this position it is essential that you have a broad range of underground mining experience. You will be multi-skilled in all aspects of production charging, a self-motivated worker and able to work with minimum supervision.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Charge up-holes, down-holes as well as miscellaneous blasts
- Performing stope re-entries in a production capacity
- Charging in accordance to mine design and planning requirements
- Explosives Stock Control operation - stocktake etc
To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in charging with electronic detonators, Ikon training preferred and use of hypercharge units. Hold a current SafeWork NSW Security Clearance, a current SafeWork NSW BEUL (not site specific to another mine site is preferred), an unrestricted manual driver’s licence and Working Safely at Heights.
You must also enjoy working in a team environment, have excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to safe work practices. You will need to be able to proactively identify hazards and assess risks.
This is a residential role that includes an attractive remuneration package.
