As a heavy equipment mechanic with Halliburton you will be tasked with the day to day routine maintenance of some unique oilfield equipment supporting the cementing, pressure pumping and coil tubing operations as well as general Trucks, Trailers and skidded equipment. You should have a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience. You should be well versed in preventative maintenance programs and be familiar with a process oriented approach to equipment maintenance. Exposure to trouble shooting and repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems will be highly regarded. Engagement and participation in company safety programs and initiatives is mandatory and a condition of employment.
The ideal applicant is a self starter with a flexible “can do” attitude who can work autonomously or as part of a team. This is a FIFO position and you will be required to work under limited supervision in remote areas of Australia for scheduled periods. Some “on call” work may be required depending on workload. The successful candidate will be provided with extensive on the job training and a lifestyle that can only be provided by FIFO work.
Key applicant requirements:
- Trade Qualification – Cert III, Plant Mechanic Industrial, Heavy Duty Fitter (Diesel) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with Caterpillar & Cummins/DD MTU engines, Allison transmissions, high pressure pumps and equipment
- Experience with road haulage equipment up to and including road trains
- Ability to pass fitness for work medical and ongoing drug & alcohol screenings
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A positive attitude with a proven positive work ethic
- At least 2 contactable employer references on your resume
- Use of SAP Computerised maintenance management system advantageous
- C Class driver’s license, preference for HR and HC License advantageous
