MRV Metals is a fully owned subsidiary of ASX listed Moreton Resources Limited. The company is currently advancing a significant project being the "Granite Belt Project" with our MRV Metals corporate office based in the township of Texas QLD.  In addition to this, the business has significant exploration leases and is seeking to growth the business through potential further acquisitions.

The town of Texas is perched on the banks of the peaceful Dumaresq River, within close proximity to the major regional towns of Goondiwindi, Stanthopre and Warwick.  It is a well serviced community of approx. 1,100 people with modern medical, schooling and business facilities which relies predominantly upon the agricultural industries.  Within the region you will find excellent fishing, great camping spots and the serenity of rural landscapes that make this location a family friendly and hospitable community, with strong support for the MRV Metals project, throughout the township and surrounds.

This role is required to develop, implement and execute the processing activities for the site and is responsible for the operation on a day to day basis to achieve the processing plan. A key component of this role is the ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and implement sound actions based on metallurgical parameters.

You will be responsible for the following key elements:

  • Oversight and Management of the day to day processing outcomes of site through to the metallurgical assessment of future resources, improvements to process plant efficiency and reduction of operational risks.
  • Ensure robust data capture, analysis and operating parameters and strategies are designed, implemented and imbedded into the day to day operating culture and roles of the process production areas. Including continuous improvement and strategic decision making to enhance the outcomes of the operational planning.
  • Develop and implement effective communications with well-defined accountabilities between the metallurgy, process operations, assay laboratory, maintenance, mining and product security teams.  
  • Implementation of weekly and monthly processing plans and follow up with reporting and variance intervention and rectification;
  • Develop and manage the monthly and yearly planning budgets and output forecasting, including month by month variance reporting.
  • Management of contractors/business partners to minimise cost exposure to the company whilst ensuring production and quality targets are met

To be successful for this role you must demonstrate your ability to meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering is essential
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with leach experience (Heap, vat, ILR) in either base or precious metals is mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, coach and mentor team members for their professional development and strengthen overall team capabilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team safely and improve team safety awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to decision make, problem solve and to take accountability and responsibility for the outcomes of the processing areas

This role is engaged on an 8 days on 6 day off roster.

Fixed Annual Remuneration up to $130,000 per annum plus relocation benefits pertaining to rental assistance.
