This is a two-year fixed term contract and the successful candidate will be a key member of the engineering team and will work closely with all departments across site.
This role is responsible for delivering capital projects and provides technical and project management support to all site based teams.
The successful candidate will project manage and deliver capital sustaining and improvement projects onsite through:
- The implementation of engineering design, equipment procurement, expediting, installation activities for various projects
- Daily management, supervision and coordination of procurement and construction activities;
- Managing project budgets, schedule and quality
- Effective contractor management
- Coaching and developing of junior engineers and project supervisors.
Essential Requirement for the role:
- Qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Structural)
- Experience in project management of capital projects in mining or heavy industry
- Contractor management exposure
- Team player with exceptional communication skills
- Ability to self-motivate with initiative and drive
- Ability to promote both a safe and productive work environment.
