Golder provides integrated engineering and environmental services to the mining, infrastructure, manufacturing and oil and gas industries, with an enviable list of clients. Our Perth office is currently seeking an early career / Mid level Geochemist to join our mining team working in a technically complex, role on challenging projects across a variety of industry sectors. 
This role is critical to the expansion of our geochemical and mine closure services.
 
Role Overview
This is a great opportunity be part of our global technical geochemical team. In this role you will provide support to our Senior and Principal Geochemists, work on interesting projects domestically and abroad.  You will be part of a focused team with a clear vision and strategy and will be provided a mentor and have a career development plan
 
You are expected to at a minimum have a bachelor’s degree (or strong familiarity) in the following disciplines: (geo)chemistry, geology, or earth science. Familiarity with contaminated sites source remediation and acid sulfate soils assessment, would be an asset.
Key Responsibilities Include:

• Provide project support on geochemical related projects in Australia and abroad
  
• Manage projects
  
• Data assessment and interpretation
  
• Assist with reports and proposal preparation
  
• Actively seek opportunities to expand Golder’s client base
  

Skills/Qualifications.

• Working experience in one of the following is expected:
  
  • mine waste characterization, data interpretation, chemical load prediction.
    
  • environmental geochemistry including water quality assessment and modelling, water treatment and source remediation and acid sulfate soils assessment, is an asset
    
• Previous consulting experience
  
• Strong and demonstrable oral and written communication skills
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a diverse team environment
  
• Scientifically mined and practical, dynamic, pro-active, curious, and capable to work independently
