The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this role is to lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results. General responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plan and oversee field based activities, relating to time, cost, quality and safety criteria for planned and emergency situations 24/7;
  • Manage materials required to complete the work schedule;
  • Completion of all reports, job control worksheets, inspection/audit records and all other critical documentation;
  • Identify improvement opportunities by proactively recognising and resolving inefficient delivery;
  • Lead and manage small, medium and large teams to ensure organisational goals are achieved;
  • Apply conflict resolution techniques to avoid potential escalations of workplace disputes.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills, education and experience:

  • Knowledge of safe working practices, OHS&E principles and Australian standards;
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team;
  • Computer skills to use SAP, Word, Excel and planning packages;
  • Proven experience leading and managing medium sized work teams;
  • Working knowledge of legal, financial, quality and risk management concepts and their application to field employees;
  • Direct knowledge of high and low voltage operating policies, procedures, new connections and Electrical distribution system;
  • Knowledge of overhead, underground & lighting distribution faults;

Please note you must possess a Practitioner’s License (Line worker or Electrician) and an current Australian Driver’s Licence and continually hold this license as travel between sites will be required.

Required Skills:

Extensive experience supervising and managing small to medium sized field crews.

Either Electrician or Overhead Practitioner mandatory
