A number of opportunities have arisen for (Intermediate to Senior) Geophysicists to join our teams.

Based in Adelaide, the roles are responsible for contributing to Beach Energy’s success in its expanding exploration and development program in Australia and internationally, by assisting with the generation and evaluation of play concepts, prospects and leads.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Effectively apply and utilise geophysical skills to support Beach Energy’s exploration and development activities.
• Undertake analysis and interpretation of 2D & 3D seismic data to locate and evaluate the prospectivity of potential oil and gas targets. This will include incorporation of geophysical and geological data, structural mapping, depth conversion, reservoir characterisation evaluation and migration pathway analysis using appropriate geophysical software for the generation of new play concepts.
• Contribute to quantitative interpretation projects to assist in lowering the risks and costs associated with oil & gas exploration and development to the company.
• Responsible for the integration of well data into regional and local geological frameworks, to tie well data with seismic data in order to refine a regional framework or assist high-grade prospectivity targets.
• Ensure final seismic interpretation reports to Joint Venture parties and government petroleum regulators are submitted as required within timeframes associated with specific projects and government jurisdictions.
• Proactively contribute to the continuous capture and management of all subsurface and associated data, including historical data, to maximise availability & value for analysis.
• Keep up to date with advances in geophysical technologies and any other related fields. Where appropriate, develop, justify and implement the use of new and innovative technology.

We are looking for technically proficient individuals with considerable experience in petroleum geophysics. Having attained tertiary qualifications as a minimum, you will be delivery focused - with the ability to build fruitful and value-adding relationships with a range of stakeholders including Beach Energy exploration, development and production teams.
