Our client is one of the best-known project developers of solar and wind projects in Australia. Since they established permanent operations in Sydney, our client has successfully delivered some of the largest solar PV projects in the country and possesses a strong project pipeline to be realised in the near future.
The successful Asset Manager will enjoy a great exposure to some of the most relevant solar energy projects built in Australia and will be accountable of all Asset management activities while ensuring an on-going compliance and good industry practices on and off the sites. Will report to the Head of Asset Management and will require traveling to the project sites as some of them are located in regional areas.
This is a full time permanent role based in Sydney and will work closely with the Development and O&M team. Other responsibilities are:
  • Supervision and management of all relevant contracts (Asset Management / O&M, etc.), funding agreements, interconnection agreements;
  • Ensuring on-going compliance with all law, legislative requirements, federal and state legislation in relation to the operation of the solar farms;
  • Reporting on Asset Management activities and O&M services performance by the contractors;
  • Managing and maintaining good relationships with authorities, NSP’s, AEMO the community and the owners;Participating and / or leading site visits and inspections involving third parties including operators and contractors
  • Providing Asset Management inputs for preparing Operating Expenses (OPEX) estimations;
  • Developing Scope of Works for AM and supervision for new projects;
  • Support client’s development team in the development phase of the Project with Asset Management and OPEX estimation for tender preparations;
  • Deep involvement in re-finance/ selling process.

Requirements
  • Ideally +6 years of experience in Asset Management roles with some exposure to large infrastructure projects – at least 2 years of this experience should be in solar and wind generating system
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • Experience in Technical aspects of re-financing and selling process
  • Good understanding of Asset Management methodologies
  • O&M knowledge of solar and/ or wind plants/installations would also be a benefit.
  • Critical eye for all compliance and safety coupled with strong commercial and negotiation skills
