The integrated mining and processing complex at Phosphate Hill and Mt Isa produces one million tonnes of high analysis fertiliser per annum. The facilities process phosphate rock mined from the Phosphate Hill resource with the production of ammonia from natural gas and sulphuric acid from copper smelter gases to manufacture phosphoric acid and high analysis ammonium phosphate fertiliser for domestic and export markets.
This is a FIFO site with point of hire (POH) being Townsville with attractive roster swing options achieving sustainable work/life balance.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Manager this role will lead and manage the sites maintenance function encompassing mechanical and electrical maintenance execution, maintenance planning and site utilities, whilst focusing on safety, environmental, cost and production targets. On a day to day basis you will ensure that work is completed on time in a safe and efficient manner as well as:
- Lead by example to demonstrate IPL's commitment to "Zero Harm to everyone, everywhere".
- Provide mentoring, coaching and developmental support to Maintenance team members in pursuit of skill growth and maturing of the workforce.
- Maintenance management system compliance to IPL and Australian standards.
- Continuously working towards improving Plant uptime (availability, rate and quality)
- Inputting into reliability and maintenance strategies that deliver the process performance required
About You
You are distinguished from your peers due to your high level of communication, leadership, strategic planning, commercial and relationship management skills which are critical in this key leadership position with excellent career prospects
To be successful you will have proven experience in maintenance leadership role within a production environment as well as:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/Process) or significant industry experience
- Mineral processing, mineral refining or Chemical plant maintenance experience is desirable
- Experience in the use of SAP systems or similar within maintenance management
- Proven leadership experience within a production environment
- Frist class communication and influencing skills
You will display a desire to progress within our organisation, be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service and achieving results.
