What you will be delivering
Reporting to the Manager of Policy and Insights in the Commercial Energy Services division, you will play a central role in ensuring the business successfully develops an aligned growth plan to enter new markets and develop a unique competitive advantage. You will develop energy market and technology scenarios to inform investment and business decisions across AusNet Services.
You will work with industry participants, technology providers, customers and consultants to develop long-term forecasts of energy and customer markets. This will allow you to identify emerging market opportunities related to new services, technologies or customer segments.
Your understanding of energy, technology and customer markets will provide the business with a strong foundation for developing business strategies that are relevant and proactive.

You will have strong experience in energy markets, built through your own practical experience, and related commercial and policy drivers. You will be able to anticipate emerging scenarios and collaborate with others across Ausnet and the energy industry to formulate a consistent view of these.
You will be motivated, inquisitive and prepared to challenge the status quo. You will have a strong understanding of modelling and analysis techniques, and will be adept at translating large data sets into common, emerging themes. Your can-do attitude will be reflected in your positive approach to problems.
Your communication skills will be instrumental in building a common understanding of market and customer issues across AusNet and its stakeholders, with the ability to translate energy issues via plain English.
