BTP is a subsidiary of Ausdrill Limited, and is one of Australia's leading suppliers of mining equipment parts, sales and rental services.

BTP based in Hazelmere currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and trade certified Machinist/Manual Lathe Operator specialising in CNC/Manual Lathe to join a busy workshop team tasked with carrying out repairs to earthmoving equipment and related products.

The prime function of this role is to carryout repairs to earthmoving equipment and related products including Hydraulic cylinders and components.

Duties include:

• Operate machinery required to repair earthmoving equipment, components and related products including Manual Lathe and Milling Machine operations
• Vertical line boring experience
• Mentoring apprentices
• Ensure machines are all running productively, monitoring set up & down times to produce parts as efficiently as possible
• Liaise with Leading Hand/Senior Programmer to order tooling
• Operate workshop equipment in line with all Ausdrill/BTP OH&S regulations
• Other duties as required

General skills, experience and knowledge required:

• Must have Trade Certificate, with ideally a Cert 3 and Statement of attainment.
• Previous experience working Manual Lathes, Milling and Line Boring Machines essential
• Previous experience in CATERPILLAR & KOMATSU component repairs and repairing hydraulic cylinders.
• Previous experience of working on CNC Lathe (Okuma), CNC Horizontal (Fanuc Control), Vertical Borer an advantage
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Able to work unsupervised
• Forklift licence an advantage but not essential
• Dogging ticket an advantage but not essential
