The Company is an Australian gold miner with operations at the Duketon Gold Project in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia and the McPhillamys Gold Project in the Central Western region of New South Wales. The Duketon Gold Project encompasses Moolart Well, Garden Well and Rosemont sites.
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Garden Well Processing are looking for an entry level Process Technician to join the team.
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Works co-operatively with peers and supervisors;
- Possesses a solid work ethic and strong desire to do things safely and efficiently;
- Enthusiastically attacks problems and assumes ownership of issues and solutions facing the operation; and
- Is self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to do more than is expected or required in the position.
Successful applicants will have:
- an excellent safety record;
- 1+ years’ experience as a Process Technician (or similar), preferably in a gold plant environment within the milling and leaching circuits; and
- a current WA manual driver’s licence.
A minimum of basic computing competency, good written skills, and a genuine interest in the sector is required. Any other skills, training or qualifications (i.e. relevant machinery qualifications, national accredited working at heights qualification and national accredited working in confine spaces qualification) will be looked upon favourably.
Under supervision, your duties will include:
- inspecting the workplace to identify and correct hazards and equipment failures;
- undertaking regular sampling, testing and other quality control activities;
- adjusting the process to meet production parameters;
- starting up, shutting down, monitoring and adjusting the production process;
- learning appropriate responses to malfunctions or anomalies in the production process;
- maintaining accurate records of sampling/quality control; and
- general housekeeping including cleaning of fixed plant, control rooms and company vehicles.
