About the Role:

Opportunities exist for an experienced Contract Specialist who will form part of and contribute to a global engineering group based in Brisbane. This is an immediate start for the right person and is a Permanent position.

Ideally you will have between 5-10 years experience for this role. You will ideally come from the supplier industry, have a legal or commercial background in heavy industry.

Who would suit this role?

Your background will be more from the "supplier side" rather than the "client side" as you will specialise in contract tenders and negotiations for prospective and existing clients.

The ideal person will be able to negotiate tender proposals and deal with prospective clients, existing clients and external and internal stakeholders, draft formal tenders and take general leads and turn them into prospective clients, having extensive contract knowledge is a must and this person needs to be quite savvy. Someone who has the ability to take very little information and turn it into a commercially viable option, We are looking for someone who is pedantic / professional and can draft a contract in such a manner. If you come from a legal background this will be highly desired.

The requirements for the role are:

  • Demonstrated understanding of planning and scheduling maintenance practices for mobile mining equipment
  • Demonstrated understanding of CMMS workflow management
  • Tender and negotiation skill and experience
  • Commercially astute with demonstrated business acumen.
  • Exposure to project pricing, including labour and infrastructure
  • Commercial documentation development exposure and experience
  • High level of financial analysis skills.
  • Maintain contractual objectives and milestone information, ensuring that the appropriate Contract owner is engaged to assist the Service Contract department in contract change requirements, including variations, rate reviews and contract related matters.
  • Assist the local Contract owner by facilitating the development of Contract variations, scope creeps and other contract related changes and maintain a record of applicable contract KPI's, ensuring that any breaches, anomalies and concerns are highlighted to the appropriate stakeholder.
  • Maintain a library of Service Contract generic processes, systems and templates.
  • Provide knowledge of proposal development that applies to a given project, ensuring that commercial and operational requirements are implemented and managed as intended.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets.
  • Generate and review monthly Profit and Loss reports for Service Contract business.

Benefits:

  • Full time
  • Excellent remuneration + 12% Superannuation
  • Reputable company based in Brisbane

This is an exciting role with a global engineering group offering advanced products and services that enhance customer productivity, profitability and safety.
