We are currently seeking an experienced Service Technicians to join our service team in Mackay.
As a Service Technician you will be responsible for:
- Creating and developing strong relationships with customers and team members
- Carry out repairs to surface mining equipment, in both field service and workshop situations
- Work with customers to develop strategies that maintain a high level of availability across a fleet of underground equipment
- Carrying out service and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and RCS systems
- Solve complex equipment related issues include diagnostic fault finding
- Providing a high level of technical product support to our customers located within the region
- Comply with Epiroc and customer SHEQ and WHS requirements
Ideally you will possess the following experience and qualifications:
- Mechanical, heavy diesel, electrical or hydraulic trade qualifications or similar.
- Customer facing experience or similar
- Extensive experience in the maintenance of underground equipment, hydraulic repairs, diagnostics, and low voltage electrical repairs.
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience.
- Heavy mobile plant equipment rebuilds
- Proven ability to trouble shoot and fault find complex electrical, mechanical and hydraulic problems
- Atlas Copco product expertise and underground drilling experience will be highly regarded
The successful candidate must be a strong team player with excellent relationship building skills. A positive attitude and commitment to all areas of service operations is essential to the job.
In addition, candidates will have an obvious commitment to OH&S, Quality and Environment policies and procedures; they also have a strong desire to deliver best practice solutions for our customers business.
