Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the Construction and Mining industries.

We are currently looking for an experienced and professional Projects Manager to join our team. The main focus of this role is to manage the MARC sites in Western Australia. As a part of this position you will ensure that the contracts are managed appropriately, on budget with zero harm and actively promote our parts, labour and service to promote business growth.

Reporting to the Service Manager your duties include

• Coordinate, plan and successfully execute maintenance and repairs contract work for Western Australia.
• Manage both short and long term planning requirements and related Maintenance support including coordination of labour , parts and consumables for any planned and un-planned work for the nominated projects
• Ensure all Work in Progress is tracked, managed and closed in a timely manner.
• Implement a culture of continuous improvement and identify and achieve cost savings and efficiencies.
• Ensure that our employees comply with all general health and safety duties with respect to site operations.
• Input and contribute to forecast and budget objectives for the Projects in scope

• Planning, coordinating and safely executing related maintenance and warranty tasks in line with project schedules and budgets.
• Managing Sub Contract suppliers including putting processes in place to ensure their compliance to safety, budget and specification requirements.
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved and in line with Hitachi specification
• Managing all direct and indirect tradesman and any related project administration requirements in line with HCA standards and processes.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Prior experience in a Management, business development or technical role with Mobile Equipment in the mining industry.
• Prior experience with Hydraulic Excavators and Haul trucks is preferred.
• Strong project management skills and ability to analyse technical data and reports.
• Strong customer focus
