The Position
We are currently recruiting for Boilermakers for our busy Port Hedland Workshop. This role will be a 2/1 FIFO Position in Port Hedland.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor the Boilermaker will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of qualified trades people as well as the following:
- Repairs and maintenance of earth moving machines;
- Bucket repairs and general fabrication;
- Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with Company guidelines and within cost targets;
- Working with our customers to meet company objectives.
We are looking for
- A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship in bucket rebuilds, repairs and refurbishments;
- Excellent understanding of basic metallurgy principles;
- Significant post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi;
- Nationally recognised trade qualification;
- Strong analytical skills with a solutions focus;
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team;
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, health and the environment, with a proactive approach to housekeeping; and
- Successful candidates may also be required to complete inductions and are required to be medically fit and able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
