The Company
A global tier one mining company with a broad portfolio of projects in open cut and underground mining.
The Project
An underground hardrock mining project in the Mt Isa region of QLD. Operating with a large fleet of UG mining equipment and sizable operations teams this site has been in production for over a decade.
The Location
Opportunity to relocate to Mt Isa in North West QLD and work in a busy mining town. With a population of over 22,000 people Mt Isa is destination for many mining workers to sleep in their own beds every night and progress their careers
Your Duties As Drill & Blast Engineer
- Manage & team and mentor junior engineer
- Drill & blast, stope, vertical & horizontal mine planning designs
- Short term & medium term planning/ scheduling - working closely with other senior Engineers
- Daily monitoring & recording of production and development progress
- Preparation of stope notes, development approvals, drilling & blasting plans and service hole approvals
What's Your Value
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
- Experience working in underground hardrock mining
- Strong experience managing a team/ leadership within Drill & Blast UG Mine Engineering
- Mining software experience
- Excellent safety standards
