Northparkes is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the Asset Management Department on a permanent full time basis. You will report to the Senior Maintenance Engineer – Electrical and be responsible for identifying and executing defect elimination and operational improvement projects to electrical assets across site.

Primary responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Northparkes’ goal of achieving Zero Harm Operations
• Deliver operational electrical, instrumentation and control system projects within the agreed time, quality and cost guidelines
• Ensure the mine’s electrical assets deliver optimum performance and comply with all relevant regulations, codes and standards throughout its life cycle
• Contribute to the development of Northparkes’ long term maintenance strategy
• Formulate, review and implement site electrical standards, systems and procedures to achieve business objectives.

The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:

• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Advanced problem solving skills.

The following criteria will be highly regarded:

• EA Recognized Professional Engineer
• Experience in a maintenance/reliability engineering role in mining or heavy industry
• Hands on fault finding capability both in LV and HV electrical installation.
