Project Controls Engineer
We are a provider of technology solutions, construction and maintenance services, with an impressive client portfolio supplying the oil and gas, mining and utility sectors. Services include Gas Field Construction, Process and Pipeline Services, New Technology Development, Mining Services and Engineering and Project Management.
Due to significant recent wins, we are experiencing rapid growth and an exciting role for a Project Controls Engineer has become available.
The Project Controls Engineer is a support role to the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager, in the efficient and effective management of the project controls process including live field based schedule updates and management, performance status and reporting, forecasting methods in stewardship of cost control processes. The Project Controls Engineer assists in advising and consulting on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, monthly contract claims).
Where required the Project Controls Engineer assists the Project Planner in the interface of integrated master schedule, incorporating data from specific projects into Primavera that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations. Monitor and control program compliance in respect of the projects contractual obligations
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager, main responsibilities include:
- Maintaining project planning and execution schedules in Primavera P6
- Developing monthly expenditure and commitment forecasts
- Developing and maintaining real time tracking tools for resource forecasting
- Analysing project performance, critical path, and earned value
- Generating regular project reports
- Subcontractor management and Claim validation
- Change Control Management
- Contract Claim Preparation
What we are looking for:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar and background in the Project Controls industry would be preferred. Well-developed communicative skills with experience spanning 5 years as a minimum are essential.
You will be an analytical and organised person who is self-motivated and capable of working with little supervision or direction.
You will have strengths and experience in using project planning software applications in addition to accomplished computer skills.
This role is site based, in the Dalby region within the upstream oil & gas industry.
