SMS Innovative Mining are a privately owned and operated business with Workshops based in Perth and Kalgoorlie.
SMS Innovative Mining Solutions are looking for an experienced Major Component Mechanic to join our team at our Perth Workshop based in Welshpool.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Potential candidates should display a willingness to travel and work at a remote mine site location from time to time as required, although the requirement to travel and work at remote locations is minimal, it should be viewed as a requirement of the role. The longevity of those remote mine site work requirements is usually a matter of days and not weeks.
Skills and experience
To be considered for the role you will have the following:
- Full working rights within Australia
- Australian recognised trade certificate
- Hold a current WA Drivers licence (HR favourable)
- Previous experience in the complete strip down and rebuild of various components from primarily CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu products.
- Demonstrate a history of working to strict deadlines
- Knowledge and the application of OH&S in the workplace
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of SIS plus the ability to read and understand CAT, Hitachi Komatsu parts and literature
