Roy Hill’s independently owned and operated railway is a 344km standard gauge, single line, heavy haul railway built to transport 55Mtpa of iron ore from the Roy Hill Mine to the dedicated Port stockyard facility in Port Hedland. Utilising state-of-the-art train loading systems and the fastest rail car dumpers, the Rail division is a leading example of our innovation and technology investments.

Our Rail operations leadership team is now seeking a Supervisor Track Delivery to join the group. This role is responsible for safe and effective execution of maintenance plans, rapid response to equipment issues and the maximisation of availability and reliability at an optimised cost. The role will lead and manage the maintenance team and will be accountable for ensuring the team executes the required track and civil maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner to a high standard in accordance with the maintenance plan.

Accountabilities will include: -

• Provide leadership and direction to all maintenance personnel including subcontractors
• Support the Superintendent Track Delivery in all tasks related to the performance and availability of the rail system
• Manage weekly work to ensure all repairs and inspections are carried out on time, safely and rigorously, resulting in high equipment reliability
• Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
• Develop relationships with other departments to ensure maximum material movement and maximum cost effective utilisation of equipment

For you to achieve outstanding results in this position, you will be an experienced leader within the areas of Track Maintenance along with the following: -

• Cert 2 in Rail Infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience in a track or civil role which includes experience in a supervisory role and in an operator or maintainer role
• Working knowledge of rail safe working policies and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a team
• Sound proficiency in computer programs such as SAP
