Chandler Macleod are delighted to be recruiting for South32 for a Principal Project Assurance within their Project Governance area. This position can be based on the East Coast or may be located wherever the preferred candidate lives.
The Role:
Reporting into the Project Governance Manager this position is responsible for establishing and delivering a framework and services required to achieve benchmark capital performance and intensity across the region.
You will be accountable for a number of tasks including but not limited to:
• Delivering safe outcomes, ensuring a culture of care and accountability is maintained
• Working towards continuous improvement on the way work is designed and executed
• Developing and improving project delivery framework on standards and procedures for the region
• Analysis of end to end project processes, project data, organisation design and system effectiveness
• Analysis of the regional capital portfolio to guide capital allocation decisions and opportunities to improve capital intensity
• Planning and executing the project assurance program for the region
• Perform internal and external project benchmarking and recommend improved performance metrics to realise further capital performance gains
About You
The successful candidate will ideally bring a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Business and within a project or operational environment
Additional requirements are:
• Significant study and project delivery experience
• Underground Coal experience would be welcomed
• The ability to measure, monitor and improve engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
• Extensive knowledge of project frameworks, processes, performance metrics and benchmarking
• Ability to influence leadership to support project performance, decisions and direction
• Previous leadership of improvement and /or project services teams and understand how to effectively manage diversity
• Ability to build relationships with project service providers
