The role

We are seeking expressions of interest for a proactive, experienced Maintenance Planner, ideally with trade qualified background.  Prospective candidate/s will need to be able to draw on their background to further to develop and expand in-house maintenance database that is already well established.

Based at our Welshpool head office you form an integral part of our maintenance team.  Overseeing and assisting with the ongoing processing of mobile plant hours, repairs and servicing details into maintenance database, which will help achieve ongoing efficient operational management of plant.

Your core responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Processing and entry of Daily Machine Service Hours.
  • Processing and entry of Machinery Repair Data.
  • Processing and entry of Machinery Servicing Data.
  • Preparing and production on a timely basis programmed Service Schedules and ensuring efficient and timely delivery to relevant sites.
  • Processing and recording of scheduled oil sampling bottles for relevant sites including interpretation of results in liaison with the Workshop Foreman in order that specified remedial and action can be transmitted to the sites.
  • Developing machine specific servicing schedules to meet manufacturer and site condition requirements.
  • Regular and accurate updates of the machine fleet board.
  • Maintenance and development of current maintenance system to meet the company’s current and future requirements.
  • Commitment to the company’s Quality Assurance protocol.
  • Attending all weekly workshop meetings.
  • Assisting with recording / upgrading through the company computer system:
  • Machine Scheduled Service Requirement
  • Despatching Scheduled Oil Samples to Laboratory.
  • Assisting Purchasing / Workshop personnel complete MAIN ROADS Western Australia and / or Western Power heavy haulage permits when required.  Including all facets of transport related to mobilising site facilities, craning, subcontracting to transport companies / general road haulage.
  • Co-ordination and implementation of Heavy Plant component change outs as per Mine Site Construction Services parts component exchange regime.

Suitable applicants will have.

·Trade background- Mechanical

  • High level problem solving skills and research/analytical ability including the ability to obtain and interpret information and make specific recommendations.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft desktop software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills in managing competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated good written, verbal , interpersonal skills and technical knowledge.
  • Effective organisational and administrative ability and the demonstrated ability to work in a team.
