A mining company requires a Senior Mine Engineer to join their open pit operation on an 8/6 roster FIFO BNE.
Your new company
Establish yourself with this leading international miner that specialises in the production and exploration of coal deposits in North Queensland. Due to internal promotion, an opportunity is on offer for an experienced Senior Mine Engineer to join their open pit operation on an 8/6 roster.
Your new role
Reporting into Technical Services Superintendent you will lead and mentor a small team to ensure that the truck, excavator and dozer push mining operation is running at optimum efficiency. This will include the review and development of the mine design, scheduling, haulage analysis and drill and blast management. Drawing from your extensive experience in mining you will ensure safety is incorporated into all your plans whist continually looking for improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering combined with demonstrated experience in short term mine planning, scheduling and design in open coal cut mining. It is also highly desirable that you have proficient in Vulan and Spry and have previous leadership experience.
