NEMMS JV is a well-established Indigenous Mining & Civil Contractor, operating throughout Western Australia, with a focus on the Pilbara Region. We are a client focused organisation with a strong track record in the successful delivery of contracts in mining, civil and bulk handling projects.
Due to expediential growth, we are currently seeking experienced HSE Advisor for our Roy Hill operation. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, strong leadership and will use their initiative to effectively manage their workload.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the Health Safety & Environmental Management Plan and associated procedures onsite;
- Ensure adherence to same;
- Promoting awareness of customer requirements and continual improvement principles with respect to HSE;
- Actively contribute to delivering a project free from incidents, injury and environmental harm
- Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits;
- Maintaining project site records;
- Managing any HSE related escalations;
- Monitoring the status of corrective and preventative actions identified, and provide advice and reports to Project Management on close-out actions
- Other HSE duties as required
Successful candidate will demonstrate:
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the mining and construction industry
- Relevant qualifications in OH&S (Cert IV), Diploma level or higher
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
- Frontline Management qualification - desirable
- Working knowledge of OH&S legislation & HSE management practices
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written,
- Easy and approachable interpersonal skills with all, from ground staff to CEO
- Excellent computer skills with a sound knowledge of the MS Office
- Manual driver’s license
- Current first aid certification
